New pictures!

Ok - finally! Here are some pictures of my ever-expanding waistline. Of course I wore a black shirt today to help make me look "slimmer". :o) I'll be 30 weeks (7 1/2 months) this coming Sunday. Enjoy!!

What an easy week!

The chicken pox still have not hit Kiegan, but they've blessed four of my daycare kids so far and a daycare parent! So my days this week will be very easy which is nice to have sometimes. I told Lori that she doesn't even need to bother coming this week since the most I'll have at one time is three maybe four kids (not including our own).

Last Friday I had an all-day DCFS training. It was ok - I did win a FREE banana split from DQ! They had different sessions throughout the day that you could pick & choose to go to, but most of them I felt were geared more towards teachers. I wrote on my survey thingy that it would be nice to have more topics that were geared towards issues that daycare workers have to deal with. I also put my name down as someone that was willing to help organize next year's training. So we'll see if I get a call!

In baby news - all is well! I have some sort of a skin infection that is driving me nuts - itchy, itchy, itchy! So I've got some meds I have to take for that. I did put together a note to my daycare parents letting them know my plans for maternity leave. Assuming all goes according to plan, my last day will be December 19th and I'll open back up on February 2nd. I'm also sending a survey home with my parents for them to fill out about how they feel things are going within the daycare. I figure my time off will be a good time to re-vamp things or consider new ideas for when I open back up in the new year.

I gave Travis his Christmas present early - a new recliner - this thing is a MONSTER! We had to re-arrange the living room to make it fit better. It sure is cozy though! I thought I'd be able to sleep in it at night when SOMEBODY is snoring or hogging the bed, but for some reason it's not very comfortable for sleeping. Travis said my Christmas present this year is going to be him finally putting up the automatic garage door that he got me last year for Christmas. That's fine with me, but I'll believe it when I see it! :o)

That's really it for now - the kids have their weekly tutoring at The Achieve Center tonight. Oh and Lexi is thinking about joining Brownies this year which I think she'll enjoy!

P.S. - The batteries on our camera are dead, but once they're charged I promise you'll get to see a picture of my big ol' belly!

Back to school

Lexi headed back to school yesterday although she woke up pretty sad in the morning because she wanted to stay home with me some more. I'll admit that it was nice having her home! Her face has really cleared up and only has a few bigger scabs that need to go away still. Her back and front are still pretty covered though. I guess some of the kids in her class were saying/doing stupid things to her because of how she looked. Kids can be so mean! Kiegan is still showing no signs of having the pox and I haven't had any kids in my daycare get them either, but I guess if any of them are going to then it will start to show up sometime this week or next.

We had a doctor's appointment this afternoon. Everything seems to be fine....I guess....the doctor was in the room for maybe a good 3-4 minutes this time, but that was only because I had a question for her and I had to remind her that I was suppose to get my Rhogam shot at this appointment. I also had to ask her about my blood pressure because the nurse thought it was a bit high and after she looked at it, she agreed that it was border line. I have a feeling she wouldn't have even bothered looking if I hadn't brought it up. I just can't get over the difference between this doctor and my old doctor. Dr. Hable would have been checking me for swelling, asking me questions about how I was feeling and if certain things were ok, etc. - I was very spoiled by him! So anyway, because there was some confusion about my Rhogam shot, I wasn't able to get it today and have to go back another day this week. My next regular appointment is in two weeks (yep, we're already down to our two-week visits!).
